Silver's Bane part 1

We're sorry; this story is in redevelopment hell, because the last one was ridiculously long and basically in dire need of repair.  As a result, there may be some confusion for new readers about unexplained events between "There are No Such Things as Vampires" and the next story in this world.  Maybe someday I will repost, or else just publish these stupid things.  In the meantime, just bear with me.
